Wellness

The PACE Program develops and implements a pregnancy plan to guide and educate pregnant women during gestation regarding alternative healthy lifestyle options. The pregnancy plan will act as a weekly guide to gestation that provides insight on what to expect, common questions and answers, and solutions to potential issues that arise at that particular stage of pregnancy.

Diet

Healthy eating contributes to a healthy pregnancy. PACE provides food and cooking educational opportunities, connections to diet advice and food planning and connections to Cooperative and affordable food options. Vitamins and supplements can also help make sure the pregnant mother receives the proper nutrition.

Medications

Understanding the side effects and impact of prescription and over the counter medications help participants make informed decisions. Options are often available to minimize negative impacts of medications on the pregnancy.

Exercise

Staying active has many health benefits, especially surrounding pregnancy. PACE helps participants find pregnancy friendly activities, group exercise opportunities and community connections to help stay active.

Pain & Stress Management

Pain and stress are two common reasons medications are taken. PACE helps participants learn alternative methods to ease pain and combat stress. Group support, relaxation techniques and natural pain relievers are some of the ways we help.

Lifestyle

Lifestyle choices can include sleep habits, time management skills and learning about toxins in the average household. The PACE pregnancy plan helps participants understand and improve all areas of live for maximum benefit to the health of the mother and the baby.
